If you were a former wrestler or simply want to be an extra pair of hands in the room and learn with your child - please join our team! There are other experienced coaches that will take care of the lead instruction - so there is no pressure to do more than you are comfortable with.
**We also need help with other things that require no wrestling experience like mat set-up, checking people in, working tables at matches, concessions, etc."
Or if you want to take a larger role in leading one of our practices, we have an opportunity for you too! Our coaches are very child centered and want to help all of them be their best.
Coaches will receive their own coaching shirt and additional swag throughout the season. You will also get the chance to be a part of this great Dallastown community and a great program. Coaches are the unsung heroes to these kids and families and the impact you make on them in wrestling and in life will last with them forever.
This clearance allows you to serve in volunteer capacity throughout the Dallastown school district.
This will include:
To get volunteer access through the district, see the following link (see Volunteers section):

In addition to the district volunteer clearances, there are a number of specific requirements you must complete in order to work in a coaching capacity for the school.
You will need to complete two online courses every year if you wish to coach: one for concussion awareness, and one for sudden cardiac arrest awareness. We need to complete these courses after July 1st every year for the upcoming season.
Please note that you do not need to pay to print the certificate, a screenshot of the course completion screen will suffice. You can send your screenshots directly to the head coach, or turn them in to the athletics office in the HS.
Links to the two course are below:
You will need to review the attached Coaches Handbook and sign the attached acknowledgement stating you understand the content and requirements within it. Again, you can send the signed acknowledgement directly to the head coach, or turn it in to the athletics office in the HS.
You must complete these requirements before you are able to help coach. Note that to be an approved volunteer for the district, you will have to be approved by the school board at one of their monthly meetings. DO NOT wait until the last minute to complete and submit your paperwork.
Please save the certificates and bring them with you to the first practice or you may email them to Brian Ford (brian.ford@dallastown.net). Additionally, if you have any questions, please reach out!
